There has been a lot of importance news for Barrie landlords regarding rules and laws for creating secondary suites in our city.
According to a July 24th report at Simcoe.com the Ontario Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing is recommending Barrie create lots of legal rental suites for tenants.
The provincial Liberal government passed the “Ontario Strong Communities through Affordable Housing Act” in 2011 which encourages cities and towns throughout Ontario to create a legal way for home owners to create secondary suites.
